Precinct 2 is located adjacent to uShaka Marine World Theme Park where an existing attraction and tourist clientele exists. It is one of the most popular attractions in Durban and therefore it is logical that the first of the new developments be associated and connect with it.
The concept is to link the new development with uShaka Retail via a ‘Sky Bridge’, with which visitors can easily walk across without any traffic interference, and blend the existing and the proposed development as one.
This precinct will contain the following catalytic projects:
a) A 54,600m2 signature 5 to 6-star hotel of approximately 350 rooms.
b) A 38,300m2 luxury condominium complex of approximately 360 units.
c) A retail complex of 48,000m2 that will host daily food stores, fashion boutiques and branded outlets.
